When I first saw this picture I was enveloped in a thick layer of silence. Almost like at a funeral. The reflection of the mountain is literally perfect. The water is still and the lighting makes all the elements of this scenery become one under the serene sky.

Because of the faultless reflexion of the mountain one the lake, two separate realities are being formed and carefully nurtured by the undeniable clarity perceived by the eye of the viewer. And so we meet the concept of illusion: they are both real mountains to the eye but only one is composed of real substance.

What I find very very refreshing and playful about this piece of art is the presence of rocks at the bottom of the lake and of a few "water grass" blades. These two are the key element in distinguishing between the two realities. Even though they are easily noticed, they do not disturb the eye. Even more so, they blend in gracefully and even add originality.

There is a certain emotion filling this scenery. Well, not exactly an emotion but a state of mind: calmness, tranquility and peace.

The overall look is very attractive and the composition does not shock nor bore the viewer.
